Boomwhackers
In class we had a music lesson on how to play Boomwhackers.
The teacher was Eson
I really like playing the music
I found it easy
Next I would like to play harder and longer songs

Reading Prediction T1
Reflection:
I like that I have a long prediction with lots of detail. I got my detail from the cover page and the blurb. I like making predictions because I get to be creative. My next step would be to start writing summaries.

Basic Facts Test
Maths
Basic Test Graph
During the week we practise our basic facts for our homework. On Fridays we have a speed test where we try to complete 100 facts in 6 minutes 30 seconds. This graph shows my scores so far.
I like this because every week I get to practice my facts
When I look at this graph I can see how I improved since the last weekWednesday, 26 March 2014

Art Portraits
Macu
WALT sketch a face by following grid guidelines to make each
feature on the face in proportion.
First we drew a picture of what we thought we looked like.
I thought my before picture: I didn’t like it because it didn’t
have enough detail and it was just a floating head in the middle of the page.
After a few art lessons we learned how to sketch a grid across the
shape of our face to help us draw each feature in proportion.
I thought my after picture: it had a lot of detail and it had a
neck, shoulders and everything was lined up.

Sensory Garden Recount
Reflection on my Recount -
- Underline where you think you are in your learning of the sensory recount.
- Remember you are just assessing how well you described your surroundings, using descriptive words or poetic devices.
Extended Abstract
|
I can help someone else to suggest ways to improve their own sensory recount.
|
Relational
|
I can add a poetic device to make it more interesting e.g simile, metaphor or alliteration.
|
Multistructural
|
I can describe using more than 2 senses in my recount.
|
Unistructural
|
I can describe using at least 2 of my senses in my recount.
|
Pre-structural
|
I need help to find words to describe what I see, feel, touch, or hear.
|
I have put myself at Relational because I used more than three senses included in my recount.
My next learning step is to work on my thinking by thinking of new similes and metaphors for my writing to make it sound better.
